What’s a song that changed your life?
The Walt Disney production of Rudyard Kipling’s story, The Jungle Book, has some memorable songs in it. My favourite is the one sung by Balou the Bear.
“Look for the bear necessities, the simple bare necessities….”
How true this is! Instead of chasing after wealth and meaningless status symbols (and fighting each other for them!), all we really need is fresh air, clean water, reliable food supply, and a safe place to sleep at night.
These are the basic needs of most living creatures on this planet. Humans tend to forget that they are still only a form of animal species. In their thirst for technological advancement, they forget the important basics.
If it comes to a choice between dwindling water supplies for humans or machines, can there be any doubt?
